DROPPING IN AND OUT—A RESPONSE TO UNCERTAINTY

This publication brings together authors from diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and generations to reflect on how historical and geographical contexts have shaped the artistic legacy of FLINTA* individuals.
The artistic research project “Dropping In and Out” focused in particular on non-linear and fragmented life trajectories. Many of the figures featured in this publication experienced interruptions due to caregiving, illness, political upheaval, war, migration, or social conflict.
The rediscovery of such life trajectories rarely follows a straightforward path. What has been written out of historical canons and excluded from dominant narratives often must be sought out deliberately: between the lines of archives, in silence, or in the private sphere.
