Black Hole, used in Double Action Black Hole, wall work, Galerie im Körnerpark

Black Hole is a black mirror, an object used for divination in many modern and traditional occult practices. It enables a gaze beyond the boundaries of time and into the future or past. One older Christian tradition believed that a young woman who gazed into the mirror in a dark room could see the face of her future husband staring back at her – or a skull symbolizing death if her fate is to die before she is married. Black Hole also refers to the Victorian concept of the vagina as the “nothing,” or “hole.
