There are not many places in the world where one can meet both drivers and artists daily in the same location. Strassburger Strasse 6–8 in Berlin is such a place. Once the former site of the car fleet of the Central Committees of the East German Government, today the area contains garages, an unemployed reintegration program, and many smaller businesses, including Mathilde ter Heijne’s studio.
